MChecker v1.0.1
New version of MChecker came out. 1.0.0 was in download before but it hadn’t English language - now it have. This application can validate maps for VirtualBus - rest of description in download.
Changes 1.0.0 -> 1.0.1:
- Completly new, better look
- Multi-language support (”Languages” directory)
- Application directories reorganization
- After choosing game directory, map list is drawing in the form of tree
- Validation in new, bigger size window
Because of technical issues, only maps from version A6C (and maybe A6B) can be validated. Earlier versions of maps than these, tags had different ammount of arguments.
To validate map:
1. Choose game directory.
2. Map tree will be presented below - choose one of these
3. Click on “Check this map” button.

Go to the download to get the application.

Add-on Makers!
Help yourself and others!
Engage in creating the biggest vBus add-on repository!
Upload your add-ons to the forum’s download section, describe them and announce their release on the board. Contribute into tidying up the Virtual Bus world, so everyone can find and download buses or maps in no time. You will avoid many problems, because vBus developers can easily get to your creation and provide help. Copyright laws enforcement will also get a lot easier. Last but not least - the link expiration problem is gone - our servers don’t delete files after some time.
Countless searches, tons of topics and Rapidshare-like limits are driving you crazy? Not anymore! You can just go to the Official Virtual Bus Forum, log in there, and after a few clicks - you’re downloading!
Your city has a website?
Write to us! We can exchange links, and if your city is good and popular enough, we can perhaps share some disc space, and you can get your own section on the board. All you need to do is to place your city in our Download.
Soon…
In a couple of days (perhaps two or three) we’re going to write some instruction manuals on how to use the Download section, and write some rules to keep things right.
News and announcements…
We’ve changed the Download rights a little bit - the download limits per user has been disabled for testing purposes today, and single file limit has been raised from 5MB to 20MB.
We hope you like our everything-in-place idea.

This is second VirtualBus Release Candidate 2 (RC2.2). This is not RC3 yet because we didn’t fix the “Unable to create font texture” error. Actual changelog (from A6C.RC1) below:

This is time for new RC of VirtualBus. There is a new feature in vBus; now you can create steering wheels for your buses in 3D using K3 code in desc file. Model file must be placed in Model/Bus_name directory with SteeringWheel.3ds filename. All textures for this must be copied to this folder too. How to use 3D steering wheel in bus? Do what I’ve said before and add to bus desc file this line:
K3 n (where n is scale; default 1)
Let’s go to other cases. We’ve fixed (we hope so) famous “Stack overflow” problem replacing texts in loading screen by progressbar. Rest of changes in this changelog: [link]

Krystek has just published the RC1 of vBus A6c. If any problems with this version are published in the tracker there will be a second release candidate (RC2). A6C is a sort of preparation for a physics engine in vBus, which will be built in in A6D. There are a few changes in A6c - there aren’t many novelties, the main changes are in the coding. vBus now also has an installer.
